Expected Rule Changes
Rules on trailer use are expected to tighten and there is a distinct possibility that in the near future an MOT may be required for your trailer. Furthermore, Transport Police VOSA are already cracking down on poorly maintained trailers.
Broken lights, poor tyre condition and faulty brakes all attract fixed penalty fines and points.
The National Trailer and Towing Association (NTTA) recommend you have your trailer serviced every 6000 miles or every 6 months, whichever is shorter.
A well maintained trailer also enhances future trade in value.

DATATAG
We have also now got a Datatag service, Datatag provides a method of permanently marking your property in a way that is simple for the Police to identify, and extremely difficult for a thief to remove. Manufacturers serial numbers are easy to remove and change, therefore making the identity and owner of the item potentially impossible.
With the Datatag system there are thousands of unique identification marks on the trailer, almost impossible for a thief to remove them all, without damaging the item. Datatag can reduce your insurance premiums and reduce the chance of theft and increase the likelihood of stolen property being returned to you.
